I didn't think of this until someone suggested it to me a few minutes ago. This is not the normal stuff I put on my blog but this is for a good cause.
There is a young lady that works with my wife that recently got divorced. Shortly after her divorce her father died. She is the type of person that puts on the strong face but you can see that inside she is hurting. I know there is nothing that we can do to take the pain away. It just has to run it's course. What we can do is to try to bring her a little joy. If we can win this for her the winner gets a photo session with their dog. I know it is not much but we think she would really like it a lot.
That is where you come in. Some of you have already voted. I called you or contacted you thru Facebook. I asked you to share the picture on Facebook and ask your friend to LIKE the picture too. The numbers did go up but not enough. I believe a lot of people clicked "Like" under the picture on Facebook without clicking on the actual picture. That doesn't count. In order for the vote to "count" you must click on the picture and open it up. Once the picture is open then you click "like" under the picture and my wife gets credit for your vote.
I want to thank some of you that shared the photo on Facebook and asked your friends to "Like" it. People like Lee, Herb, Diana, Christy (CT), Tracee, Shantonie, Kevin and Al. I know I left some people out and I'm sorry but I'm kinda rushed right now.
I'm asking everyone to check to see if they have voted by clicking on this link. If your vote has not been counted picture should have "unlike" under it. If your vote has not been counted the picture should have "like" under it. I'm not sure if you have to have a Facebook account to vote. Just click on the link under the picture of my dog. His name is Duce and no you can't have him :-)
Please forward my blog to as many of your friends as you can and ask them to vote. This post is not political for a change. This is something that is not red or blue. Thanks for reading all of this and please help us help her.
Please click right here on Facebook link for Duce to "Like" his photo. We need your vote.

Jordan Davis
I’m not
seeing much about Jordan Davis on the news. I heard about him on Monday and was
shocked. A 17 year old black kid was gunned down by a 45 year old white man in
the parking lot of a convenience store. This is what happens when people walk
around with guns. At some point one of these gun nuts are going to approach
someone else with a gun. When that happens there will be a shoot-out and
innocent people may be hurt. I’m saying all of this as a gun owner. My wife and
I went out about a month ago and got guns because these folks are getting too
bold.
I don’t know
if this was a hate crime. I see nothing to indicate that it was. What I do
believe is that the lives of “Black Men” are of lesser value to many people
walking the street. The legal system will not punish you as hard if the person
you kill is a Black Man. Maybe I see this through different glasses than the
rest of you, I don’t know. It bothers me that this guy could even formulate the
idea that his actions were okay. Then to drive off and go back to his hotel
room as if he had done nothing wrong. They were just Black Kids that I shot at.
No big deal. His lawyer even said that “there were four black men in the car”
as if that was some type of qualifier.
I’m not
going to go on and on about this one. I will just post this video and you can
see for yourself. This “Stand Your Ground” bullshit needs to end.
As always your comments are welcomed.

Election Day
Tomorrow is
Election Day and I will be glued to the television to see the results. I would
like to believe that I’m not the only one but I hear some people say that they
don’t care. There is nothing I can do about that. All I can do is to cast the
one vote that I have. I don’t cast it for myself but for everyone. Hopefully
even those voting for Romney are doing it for the same reason.
I voted for
O’bama because I feel like he will do a better job for all of us. I don’t think
he wants our service members fighting wars. Obama believes that the people
wearing the uniform of this country are not just numbers but their lives have
value. Obama believes that women are the best ones to decide what to do with
their bodies. If a woman is pregnant it should be her CHOICE to take it to
term. IF she cannot afford to take her pregnancy to term and that is the ONLY
reason for wanting to terminate it there is help for her IF she wants to keep
her baby. She will not be FORCED to give birth and then be on her own. She should be paid the same as a man for doing the same job. If a
same sex couple wants to form a union, call it marriage or civil union, either
way they should have the same rights as me and my wife. If a person or family
member gets sick it should not cost them everything that they own. No one in
this country should have to file for bankruptcy because of illness or injury.
Insurance companies should not be allowed to turn someone away because they are
too sick after years of taking their money. I don’t believe that tax breaks for
the rich will do anything to help the rest of us. Top down does not work. It
will never make a company hire more people. Companies hire more people because
they have to. When more people buy their products they have to make more and
that means they have to make more and they means more people will be hired.
That is the ONLY way companies will hire more people. That is why I voted for
Obama.
I’m sure the
people voting for Romney have their reasons and I would love to hear the
reasons. Every issue I stated Romney has been on both sides of the fence both
for and against them. I have no idea who the real Mitt Romney is. I’m not
talking from what someone told me but from what I heard him say. I heard him
say one thing one day then do a full 180 in less than 24 hours. I just have no
idea what he would do as President. Also why is Romney hiding his tax returns? Why hasn't he or Mr. Ryan done any interviews in over a month? They do speeches but will not answer questions.
If you read
my blog you know that I’m not a blind Obama follower. I complain about
President Obama sometimes. He does things that I don’t agree with and mostly it
is because he is not going far enough. I once had someone imply that I am an
Obama supporter just because he is black. I tried to argue with but quickly
gave up mostly because of his ignorance. I realized that I could not fix stupid
so why was I even trying. I try very hard to be an informed voter. I try not to
vote against one person but for someone. I voted FOR President Obama NOT
against Governor Romney.
The last
thing I want to say is that I don’t see ANY leadership in Romney. With all of
the voter suppression efforts going on this year by some of those in the
Republican Party Mr. Romney has not said one word. That is not what I would
call leadership. When one of the people on the right called a woman a slut,
Romney didn’t call it wrong he only said HE would not have used that word. That
is not what I call leadership.
This has
gotten too long so let me end by saying this. You only have one vote to cast so
do your homework and cast it wisely.

Bullets vs Ballots
This isn’t
anything new for me to talk about. Maybe I should leave it alone but for some
reason I cannot. I really don’t like to continue to complain about the
Republican Party because the Democratic Party does stupid things too but I
guess when you mess with people’s rights it bothers me more than most other
things. As you know Republicans are trying to make it harder for lots of
American citizens to cast their votes this November. They say it is because of
the possibility of voter fraud. Since the year 2000 there have been 2068
alleged cases of voter fraud. During that time there have been more than 600
million votes cast in presidential election not to mention state and local
elections then we would get into the billions. This (2068) is a very small
amount and from that only 10 were in-person voter fraud. So how can Republican
push through these Voter I.D. Laws to combat this non-existent problem? You
know the answer. They want to suppress the vote. They want to decrease the
number of people voting for President Obama and it is working.
If you are among
the people that feel it is okay to require people to show I.D. to combat the
problem of In-Person Voter Fraud then I wonder why? I say that because voting
is a right, just like speech and bearing arms. Should we really make it harder
to vote because of the actions of 10 people since the year 2000? Over 9,000
people are killed every year with guns but we are not making it harder to buy
guns. Over 70,000 people are injured with guns each year and some would say we
have made it easier to get guns. You can do the math. Does this make sense to
you? When it comes to guns the Republicans say even though lots of people are
killed we have the ‘right’ to keep and bear arms and that right should not be
infringed upon. Why do they not use the same logic when it comes to voting?
Maybe because this effort affects mostly the poor, the elderly and students and as a party
those are three groups that the Republican Party doesn’t care about.
I know all
Republicans don’t feel this way. I will say that all of my Republican friends
that I have talked to about Voter I.D. think it is a good idea. I even know
some that say they are Democrats and they are okay with Voter I.D... I don’t know
ANY Republicans that want stricter gun laws.
To bring
this to a close, it is Rights vs. Rights and only one of them can quickly cost
you your life. One of them has a big
money lobbying firm behind it and the other is being used to try to get Mitt Romney
into the White House.

Why O'bama?
So much
stuff in the news to talk about but I am going to stay with the election. The
Republican National Convention is in Tampa this week and that has me asking
myself, why Obama?
Why should I
give Obama four more years? I can’t say for sure that another four years will
make a difference. What I can say is that I don’t think it is fair to give
President Bush eight years to make a mess, as I see it, then give President O’bama
only four years to fix it. Now if you don’t think President Bush made a mess
then you should vote for Romney. The thing is these past almost four years have
not been easy for The President. Before President O’bama even took office The
Republican Party leaders had already decided that they were not going to work
with him. They said “our #1 priority is to make O’bama a 1 term President”. They
have done everything in their power to meet their objective. They have not
worked with him but they have certainly worked against him. They worked and continue to work against him not
because they think his ideas are wrong, but because the ideas are approved by
him.
Some of the
things he approved were their ideas and once he approved them they all of a
sudden were against them. Things like, Carbon Tax and Health Care Mandates were
Republican ideas before O’bama came along.
If you want to see more click here. This is a new type of politics that
the Tea Party has presented to the nation. They appear to be saying “it’s our
way or no way”. They don’t believe in compromise. They refused to raise the debt
ceiling last year and when the nation’s credit rating was downgraded, the
Republicans said it was The President’s fault. They refuse to let him get
ANYTHING done, then turn around and blame him for NOT getting ANYTHING done.
The problem with these new Tea Party Republicans is that I’m not sure if anyone
can work with them. They are so far to the right that they appear to be politically
suicidal and have no problem taking the rest of us with them.
I have a
hard time blaming The President for not fixing in four years what it took eight
years to create. In 2010 the Tea Party
came along and put the brakes on everything while screaming that nothing was
getting done. I don’t know what O’bama could have done if they would have been
willing to work with him. The problem is the Tea Party is still there. I don’t
think Romney will stand up to them and get anything done either. I think he
just wants to be President and will be happy just to get the job. He would be
the happiest President that ever lived. I question if that is what we need.
I don’t
pretend to know the answer to ANY questions about what is best for this
country. Anyone that says they know would not be telling the truth. Unless they
can see the future then they are guessing just like I’m doing. The things I
want to see get done are based on the way I see the world and the direction I
would like this country to go. At the end of the day it is still a guess at how
to make it all happen. I realize that what is right for my life will not be
right for the next person. The question should be how do we find some common
ground? My fear is, for some of us there is no common ground. When you have
that type of attitude you should not work in government. With more than 300
million people in this country you can’t have it your way.
I say
President O’bama needs to fight for us. I’m willing to give him four more years
to finish what he started. The stipulation I would add is that if he is not
willing to stand up to the Republicans while they suppress voter rights, deny
women their right to have an abortion, try to deregulate all things government,
and kill the unions, then he doesn’t deserve a second term.

Pennsylvania
This is not
my first time talking about voter suppression and probably will not be the last.
You may not be familiar with Mike Turzai and what he and his fellow Republicans
are doing in Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania is just one of the states that THIS
election year is going to require photo ID in order to cast your vote. They
even admit that they don’t have ANY cases of voter fraud in the state but still
wants to push this thru. There must be a reason.
Mike Turzai
is a Republican member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and has
represented the 28th district since 2001. He is also the Majority Leader
for the House.
Some people
would say that it is a good idea to have voters show ID and I would bet these
are people WITH ID. Mr. Turzai while speaking to a group of Republicans told
the truth about what they are doing in his state. Proving they will and ARE doing
whatever it takes to get President Obama out of office. If they have to cheat
to do it then so be it.
Cheating was
once something that people would try to hide but not anymore. Not only will
they do it out in the open, now they will put it on video and list them. On 23
June of 2012 this is some of what Mr. Turzai had to say.
This is not
the only place this is going on. Voter suppression is also going on in Ohio and
Florida just to name a few. Democrats filed a lawsuit to block this law but a
Federal Judge said that there was no proof that this law targeted anyone. Now
Democrats have to try to get the word out to all the people this law is
targeted to stop. There will be people showing up to vote that have no idea
that the law has been changed. They will show up to cast their vote and will be
turned away and not have time to get the NOW required ID and return to exercise
their right to vote.
These new
groups of Republicans are determined to get what they want. If they can’t beat
you fair and square they have no problem with CHEATING. Waiting until the voting year to make changes to the voting law IS CHEATING.

Romney's Papers
Remember
when the Republican’s lost their collective minds about Obama’s birth
certificate. They pretended that it was all about love of country and had
nothing to do with race or party. The Tea Baggers were crying about taking
their country back from this President that was not one of us. The “us” they
said they were talking about was" American" not “white”. That is what they said.
The birthers said they were not racist and it was all about the Constitution.
Even though the rest of us knew better that is what they said.
Now I know
some people that said to me that Obama should just show his birth certificate.
I told them that if you ask any more of O’bama than what has been asked of
other Presidents then it is racist. Truthfully it may be more ignorance than
racist but from my point of view it looks racist.
I’m not
trying to start an argument about this but I do want to see what excuses they
make for Mitt Romney and you know they will find a way to say it is different
for Mitt.
The whole
birther thing for O’bama was because his father was from Kenya. That O’bama was
born in Kenya and not Hawaii. Then they wanted a birth certificate. Then they
wanted another one. It goes on and on and on. Never mind the fact that the womb
that carried him was from Kansas and Kansas is in the United States. If his
mother is an American citizen then he is a natural born citizen no matter where
she gave birth. None of this matters to
the Republicans or the O’bama haters.
Let’s see
how they explain away the fact that Willard Mitt Romney’s father was born in
MEXICO. Are they going to ask for multiple copies of his birth certificate? NO.
Are they going to ask for his school records or grades? NO. Are they going to
ask for his elementary school grades? NO. Are they going to ask for his kindergarten
records? NO. Some of them have said they don’t care if Romney doesn’t release his
tax records. You know if O’bama had not released his tax records they would
have made up all kinds of BULLSHIT (sorry mom but no other word would work) about
him. They would have said that he was hiding Muslim money or money from Kenya.
I’m writing
about this because I haven’t heard anyone talk about it in the news. I’m sure
or I hope someone will bring it up as it gets closer to election time. How are
they going to explain this one away? There is no doubt in my mind that there
will not be the same reaction on the RIGHT like they had with O’bama. Only
BLACK men have to show their papers.

Democracy Injured
I thought about writing on this for a very long time. I had forgotten about it then I came across the video on YouTube. I looked it up on the Internet machine and as far as I can tell the story does check out to be true. If anyone finds it to be false PLEASE let me know. I hope that is is not true because it pains me to think that this could go on in the country but I know that it can.
There is something going on and I believe they are using different places to test what they want to do. If what is going on in Michigan is allowed to happen, I fear it will start to spread across the country. A part of me says, "This is America and this type of stuff doesn't happen here". I say that but at the same time I know that it can. We like to say that this country is special and I believe it is. It is not going to stay special if we don't stop this kind of stuff from happening.
and then there is part 2
This country is made up of all kinds of people. Conservative, Liberal, Moderate, Christian, Muslim, Atheist, Satanist and the list goes on and on. If ANY one group is allow to rule without check, there will be problems. If liberals were in charge and they were trying to do what these guys are doing, they would be wrong. You don't change the rules to favor your group. The field must always remain level so that it is fair to everyone. Anything else is cheating.
There will always be people in favor of cheating but it is up to the rest of us to be sure that it doesn't become the rule. Cheaters are here and they are not going anywhere. That's just the way it is. What is going on in Michigan is cheating and we can't stand for that.
I don't know if there is anything the Federal Government can do but if this is against federal law then they need to step in. This is just one of the illegal things going on at the Michigan Capital. In the weeks ahead I may post more. This is just crazy. What do you think?

The Economy
This is a short post about the economy. Robert Reich is my favorite Economist and I came across this video on youtube and wanted to share it. It lays it all out and makes it easy to understand. If you like this then share it with others and if you don't then just forget about it.
The next video is also a short one, less than 3 minutes. It speaks about money in politics and as I'm sure you know there is a lot of it. I know there are some of you that are not in favor of "The Occupy" movement but I am. Since this is my blog I get to write about and support the things that I agree with. Check out this video.
As always if you want to leave a comment, have at it.

War On Women
Let me start by saying that I have been looking for something to inspire me enough to post. The violation of rights is always one of those things. It seems as if this is going on so much that I feel like I am writing the same things over and over. I don't want to keep picking on the Republican party but they keep doing this stuff. Lately they have been saying that the "War on Women" is something made up by the Democratic Party. So I had been looking to list all the things they have been doing when a friend posted this on his Tumblr Page. For the life of me I can't understand why they are doing this to women, Gay people, voters, elderly and the poor. Now let me also say I know not ALL Republican voters feel this way. I have a friend and I will call him Mr. S and he emailed me to say that he doesn't hate women. I told him that I have seen the way he treats "E" and I knew that he doesn't hate women. The things that I write are about party leaders. It is rare that I talk about private citizens. Again this is about the party leaders.
These are 10 of the things the Republican Party leaders say they are not doing to women.
10 Battles in the War on Women
“There is no war on women,” repeated Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) again and again. That would appear to be the GOP strategy with regard to the “war on women” accusation: Keep repeating that it doesn’t exist. While it may not be an organized or planned war — there has been a pattern of legislative activity and incidents by Republican lawmakers that focuses on women across the country. The legislative incidents — all in some way restrictive — almost always focus on women’s health and reproductive policies. Here are 10 battles since 2011, so far, in the war on women:
1. February 4, 2011 - Rep. Joe Pitts (R-PA) introduces H.R. 358, the Protect Life Act. The bill would allow hospitals to reject their Hippocratic oath and let a pregnant woman die die rather than perform an abortion that could save her life.
2. February 15, 2011 - South Dakota State legislator Rep. Phil Jensen (R-Meade) offers legislation to change the the state’s legal definition of justifiable homicide and attempts to add language making it legal to permit homicide if the murder is committed by a person “resisting an attempt to harm” that person’s unborn child.
3. February 16, 2011 - Republicans Paul Smith and Kirby Delauter on the Frederick County Board of County Commissioners in Maryland say they feel it would be a better idea for women to stay home with the kids as they debate and discuss cuts to Head Start.
4. February 18, 2011 - Only a month after taking over control of the U.S. House, Republicans, led by Rep. Mike Pence (R-IN) vote to cut federal funding to Planned Parenthood. Some 97% of Planned Parenthood’s services focus on contraception, tests and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases and cancer screenings. Three percent of Planned Parenthood’s services are related to abortion.
5. February 4, 2012 - Georgia state legislator Rep. Bobby Franklin (R-Marietta) offers legislation to change the legal term for victims of rape and domestic violence from victim to “accuser.” Interestingly, victims of other crimes, such as burglary, would still be called “victims.”
6. February 16, 2012 - House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrel Issa (R-CA) decides to have a hearing on birth control and religion featuring a first panel with five men and no women. Indeed, none of the panelists had ever used “the pill” in their lives. Reps. Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) and Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) walked out of the hearing in protest after a female panelist was not allowed to testify. “What I want to know is: where are the women?” Maloney asked.
7. February 22, 2012 - Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell decided to back away from legislation introduced by Virginia Del. Bob Marshall (R-Prince William) requiring women to undergo a medically unnecessary procedure: A transvaginal ultrasound. Marshall’s original legislation was supported by Gov. McDonnell. This was an interesting episode coming from the same Republican party that has argued that government should stay out of health care during all of 2010.
8. February 29, 2012 - Conservative talk-show host Rush Limbaugh calls Georgetown University Law School student Sandra Fluke a “slut” and a “prostitute” because she made a speech in support of mandated insurance coverage for contraception.
9. April 15, 2012 - Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker repeals the state’s 2009 Equal Pay Enforcement Act and says that lawyers were using the requirement to “clog up the legal system.” The law was enacted to deter employers from paying women less than men.
10. May 7, 2012 - House Republicans continue to have an uncanny knack for cutting programs that effect the lives of women (food stamps, Medicaid…) – especially poor or low income women – disproportionately in favor of protecting services that disproportionately benefit men (military, agriculture subsidies). “Nearly 300,000 school children would lose free school meals and hundreds of thousands could lose their Medicaid or CHIP coverage,” under the latest GOP budget plan reports Think Progress.

Zimmerman vs Martin
I’ve been
debating writing about the Trayvon Martin case and decided to go on and get it
off my mind. I don’t think anyone reading this will not have heard about George
Zimmerman killing Trayvon Martin in Florida. As with everything in this country
we are divided by politics. Like most things that I write, I’m speaking in
general. The people on the LEFT think it is murder and Zimmerman should be in
jail. The people on the Right think Martin attacked Zimmerman and the killing
was justified.
It should
not be a surprise to anyone that there is another divide along the race line. I
do see the RACE line but I think it is a BIGGER line with politics. History has
a lot to do with the way we think. Every person’s history is different and
because of that we think differently. I don’t think anyone would argue that
point. That’s just the way it is.
My thoughts
on the case are that I’m waiting on all of the facts to come out. Both sides
are saying things that may not hold up to fact checking. From what I have read,
I think Zimmerman should be held on manslaughter charges. I wonder if the fact
that his dad was a judge is what is keeping him out of jail. I would compare
this case to the O.J. case here in Las Vegas. He took the law into his own
hands when he should have waited on the cops. Zimmerman was told to stand down and he
ignored the police and someone was killed by his hands. O.J. is in jail for the
same thing and he was not even carrying the gun. No one was killed by his hands
and he is in jail. Maybe he is in jail because of that thing I called HISTORY.
History is
the thing that makes black people see the injustice with this case. Because of
HISTORY black people feel that we are not always treated equally in the justice
system. Also in this country you get the best defense you can afford. That’s
the legal system that we have and that is another story. I don’t want to get
off topic.
Zimmerman never
should have gotten near Martin because he was told not to chase him. Let’s look
at it this way. Say I had some stuff stolen from me and I was in my car and
thought I saw my stuff in someone’s garage. I called the police and told them
where my things were and that a guy was in the garage with them. The police tell
me to stay in my car and they are on the way. When the police arrive I am in
the garage and the guy is dead. I say he attacked me so I had to defend myself
with a gunshot. What do you think should happen to me?
By killing
Martin, Zimmerman guarantees only his story is told. Don’t get me wrong, I am
very pro guns. I’m getting one because there are too many people out there like
Zimmerman. You have to protect yourself from people like him.

Rush Limbaugh
I can’t say
that I was surprised by what Rush Limbaugh said about Sandra Fluke. Mr.
Limbaugh is against the young lady only because she is with President Obama on
this issue. As I have said before, The Right, in this case Mr. Limbaugh, is
against anything and everything the President is for. Rush is under fire for
what he said on his radio show about Miss Fluke after she testified before
Congress about birth control for women.
Rush
attacked this woman for three days calling her a slut, prostitute, and
suggesting the she should post videos of herself having sex for people to
watch. He said that Miss Fluke wanted us (the public) to pay for her birth
control. First, that is not what she said. What was being asked was for
insurance companies to cover birth control. Second, she was talking about the
other uses for contraception like ovarian cysts. He insulted this woman and
lied about what she said. Making stuff up is not new for Mr. Limbaugh but he
doesn’t usually take it this far.
Now I know
that the leaders of the Republican Party are afraid of Mr. Limbaugh. They have
groveled at his feet for a long time. If they say anything that he doesn’t
agree with they will have to openly apologize to him. He acts as if he is
President of the Republican Party and the leaders of the party treat him that
way.
Now after public
push back on Mr. Limbaugh’s comments about Miss Fluke advertisers have been
pulling their ads from his show. Even after all this the leaders of the
Republican Party are still afraid to condemn Mr. Limbaugh. They are trying to
find ways to support him. The most they will say is that he used the wrong
words. They are even saying that it is the President’s fault that all this is
happening. How can we have people in elected office who are afraid of a radio
show host? The things Mr. Limbaugh said about Miss Fluke are unacceptable. His
comments were VILE and DESPICABLE.
I get saying
things in the heat of the moment and sometimes going too far. I know sometimes
lines are crossed. I don’t think someone should get fired because they crossed
that line. The problem is that this went on for three days. There was plenty of
time for him to calm down and think about what he said. He did not. When given
the chance to issue an apology all he said was that he should not have used a
couple of those words. Then went on to blame the left for what HE said. I for
one would be ashamed to be a Republican with someone like Rush running my party
leaders.
Bill Maher
recently defended Rush. He is saying that Rush should not loose sponsors
because of what he said. I watch Bill’s show, Real Time, on HBO every Friday
night. I agree with most of what he says. I understand why he is defending Mr.
Limbaugh. Mr. Maher was fired because he said the 9/11 hijackers were not
cowards. I agreed with him on that too. You could call those people lots of
things but cowards should not have been on that list. If you are willing to
give your LIFE for what you believe, you are not a coward. I disagree with Mr.
Maher on this one because Rush went on and on for three days about this woman
and was just making stuff up about her. He was stating things as fact that were
not true where as Mr. Maher was giving his opinion.
I said in
the past that Democrats were spineless and would not stand up for what they
believe in. Now I have to say the same thing about Republican leaders. They are
spineless cowards because they refuse to stand up to a bully attacking a woman.

Republicans and Women
Why does the
Republican Party seem to hate women so much? I don’t know the answer to that
question but I wish someone would answer it for me. There will always be those
that will support the party even when they seem to be going crazy. I think the
problem is that they have to oppose President O’bama on everything he does.
The latest
thing is birth control for women. Why does the Republican Party oppose this?
Because President O’bama is for it. That is the only reason. I understand why
the Catholic Church is against it. They are only for little boys and what they
can do to them. That is the extent of their concern. I will admit that I have absolutely
no respect for the Catholic Church. Any organization that routinely protects pedophiles
while amassing enormous wealth is closer to Satan than Jesus. That’s just my
opinion. So when the Catholic Church says they don’t want to pay for birth
control for women the response to them should have been so what. I bet they provide
vasectomy coverage for men. If they don’t want to provide fair and equal
coverage for everyone then they should get out of that business.
The Republicans
are following those that call themselves The Religious Right. This group has
lots of influence in the party. The problem is they are following them down a
hole only because they wear the robe. They are not paying attention to the
actions of those they follow.
They say women
should not have abortions because the child being aborted has a right to live.
I get that position. Then a woman says she wants to take a pill to prevent pregnancy
and they are against that too. They also say that if you can’t afford to raise
children then you should not be having them. I guess they are going to decide
who can have sex and who cannot. What kind of country would that be?
Republicans
also vote against equal pay for women. Why should a woman be paid less just
because she is not hanging. I don’t understand how they can even defend their
position but they stick to it.

Newt Gingrich
I watched
the Republican Debate last night and I must say that I enjoyed it very much. I’m
also sad that Rick Perry had decided to drop out of the race. I’m going to miss
him.
So anyway let’s
get started. Mr. Gingrich was upset that John King asked him about the
interview that his 2nd wife had given. In which she says that he
said to her that he wanted to be in an open marriage. He said that it should not have been the
first question. I would like to know at what point during the debate should
that question be asked. I wish he had asked Mr. Gingrich that question. I know
the answer is NEVER. He does not want to talk about it. I don’t blame him and I
would not want to do it either.
I can’t say
that I agree with anything that Newt says but I will say that he is very entertaining.
I want him to stay in the race for that reason only.
